I always love seeing the working environments of other photographers, so I thought I'd share my own today. It is still a bit of a work in progess, but the major elements are there. I guess as long as there is a desk and a computer, I'm set, but being a girl, I needed pretty things too.
This is what you see when you first walk in. It is the sitting room connected to our master bedroom, so if you come over, you also get to see where I sleep. It is small- only about 10x12, so I knew I needed to take advantage of the vertical space. I saw a similar set up in a Pottery Barn catalogue and knew instantly that's what I wanted for my office.
My husband is the muscle behind most of it. I knew what I wanted- he drew it out and built it for me. Isn't he the best?
My desk is never clean unless I am having clients over. It's always covered in post-its, idea notebooks, and food. It doubles as my lunch table and my boys' craft table. It needs refinishing due to multiple pen and sharpie marks..
Nothing fancy, but pretty functional. The side opposite of the desk is my napping couch and a gallery-in-progress (hence no photo). I'm actually impressed that my vision became a reality, and fairly quickly at that.
Hey, maybe it will inspire one of you!
